Description
The We3 Recycler Lite edition offers an easily installed application for the smaller organisation which encomasses the core functionality of the Enterprise product with certain limitations.
The application is Windows based and can function on any XP based PC. The application database is based on SQL Express which does not require any additional licenses or hardware to run.
There are limitations on the Lite version when compared to the Enterprise edition which can be seen in full on the comparison sheet. The primary limitations are that you can only configure one single site for your organisation and that you have limits on the number of users (license controlled).
Scalability can be achecived by improving you database configuration. There are essentally three options for your setup.
- SQL Express installed on same desktop client running the application
- SQL Express installed on a central computer
- SQL Server installed on a server for maximum performance.
Like the Enterprise solution the application comrises of a number of modules providing specific sets of functionality. All functionality within the application has a security sub-system wrapped round them to provide complete access control to specific areas for individual users.
Out of the box, the application provides a CRM tool to manage your customers and contacts.
A comprehensive sales and purchasing engine allows you to buy materials for processing, receive gate prices and sell your finished goods from inventory. You also have the ability to generate
The sales engine produces automatic invoices with definable parameters for frequency and tax rates. There is also an easy to use point-of-sale workflow to quickly identify or add customers and perform inbound or outbound sales/purchases.
The system can manage any amount of different currencies that you may use in your organisation along with having the ability to have language-specific screens for your users.
The Product manager module provides full catalogue management for both primary and customer specific catalogues. Within the product manager you can also set standard, variable, and customer specific pricing. For output products you can also define your yields to help measure output from your recycling process.
The Recycler manager controls the inbound and outbound movement of waste and materials to be processed. It handles all the duty-of-care documents and sets up containers of inbound materials to be processed.
The Inventory manager allows you to manage your finished goods and create containers, or move products.
The Finance manager controls your invoicing and allows you to perform back-office tracking on the invoices through their various processing stages. You also have the ability to export transactional finance items to your existing accounting/finance systems.
The Lite version of the recycler does not offer the capability to link PDA's. This is only available in the Enterprise version..
The system also allows for weighbridge connectivity allowing you to automate the weight capture from vehicles delivering or shipping materials.
The Recycler AMS Client application (available separately) can also be deployed to provide you with detailed workflow processing of materials you have received through inbound sales orders.
There are a comprehensive set of reports available in the Report Manager which cover all areas of the business.
The Logistics manager allows for inbound and outbound scheduling of vehicles
Audience
The application is suited to small-medium scale operations who operate out of a single facility and may have limited IT Infrastructure.
The application is easily installed and can reside on a single PC. If the organisation grows you can initially scale up onto a full copy of SQL Server 2005 and then migrate onto the full Enterprise edition of the We3 Recycler
